Dr. Saraf graduated with Honors from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Neurophysiology. He subsequently obtained his master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University.
Dr. Saraf received his medical degree from the University of Miami before starting his training in General Surgery at Texas Medical Center, the largest medical facility in the world, including MD Anderson Cancer Center. He subsequently finished his residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then honed his training with a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Saraf has also given multiple lectures and television interviews on various topics related to medicine, minimally invasive procedures, as the future of technology in medicine. He has held various leadership positions in several organizations and universities, been inducted into multiple national honor societies and served on various boards and committees throughout his medical tenure. He speaks English and Farsi (Persian).
